On our annual trip to Europe, Melissa and I went to England and Germany.  This year we decided to focus more on spending time with family and friends than traveling.

We started off in London which is a place that Melissa always wanted to go.  I had been there before and although not that keen on going back I actually had quite a good time.  Although very expensive, it was very much worth a visit.

On July 4th we went to Germany, spent some time with family and then drove to Hannover to visit Jeannie an old friend of mine from High School.  We spent the weekend and had a great visit.

Following our visit to Hannover we drove to Bavaria where we spent five days is Garmisch.  I love the mountains and this visit did not disappoint as well.

Upon our return from Garmisch we still had time to spend with family which was really nice.  The cool thing about this trip was that we were able to soak in the World Cup.  We watched the loss to Italy on Big Screen in the Frankfurt stadium and the game for third place on Big Screen in Hannover with all the fans.
