Melissa and I spent
3 weeks in England and Germany this summer with a day trip to Switzerland.
We arrived in England on June 30th and had an opportunity to see most sites
in London and took a trip to Salisbury, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle.
We left for Germany
on July 4th to spend a few days with family. Before visiting my friend
Jeannie in Hannover we watched the Germany / Italy World Cup semi-final on
big screen in the Frankfurt World Cup stadium and took a day trip to
Heidelberg.
In Hannover we
stayed with my good friend Jeannie and took a trip to Hameln. We also
watched the Portugal match on big screen and got to see Hannover.
From Hannover we
went to Bavarian Alps and stayed five days in Garmisch. Here we
visited the Eibsee, Zugspitze, Linderhof Castle, took a day trip to
Innsbruck and finally went to my favorite lake in Germany, the Koenigsee.
The last few days we
spent with family in Frankfurt before going back home on July 18. It
was a great trip and we didn't have any rain. The weather was
beautiful, maybe even a little too warm. Great vacation!
